Program description
When you check the SMS-consent box on a Backcountry Broadband form (such as our sign-up page) and provide a mobile phone number, you are opting in to receive SMS / text messages from Backcountry Broadband related to your service request or your active service. This may include: appointment confirmations, install scheduling, service updates, outage notifications, and replies from our support team.
Consent is not a condition of purchase
You can sign up for Backcountry Broadband service without consenting to SMS messages. Consent to receive automated text messages is not a condition of any purchase.
Message frequency
Message frequency varies based on your service activity. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages.
Costs
Message and data rates may apply. Backcountry Broadband does not charge for messages we send, but your wireless carrier may charge you for sending or receiving text messages depending on your plan. Contact your wireless carrier for details.
How to opt out
You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message from us. You will receive one final confirmation that you have been unsubscribed; after that, you will not receive further messages unless you opt in again.

Supported carriers
This program is available on most major U.S. wireless carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Privacy
We will not sell or share your phone number with third parties for their marketing. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle the information you provide.

We may update these SMS terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued participation in the SMS program after a change indicates acceptance of the updated terms.
